L continues to heal from his broken leg. He was very happy to learn it would not need surgery to heal. That's a big load off me considering he STILL needs surgery to repair his aneurysm...we find out more on that on July 3rd. I was very worried about him needing 2 surgeries. He continues to be receptive to help but is quite honestly tired of his mom living with him. I appreciate her. She's really taken a lot of the worry off my shoulders so I can work.
But our really good news is HE GOT A JOB! We've been hanging on for 6 MONTHS while he looked for work. He borrowed from family and friends to get by, but never accepted a dime from me outside of a few meals I treated him to. He'll be working for the county government here. He still has a prospect for a swanky position in Wash. DC, but that will be like 6 months off before he could possibly go there, so for today he's happily employed at home.
He told me his self esteem is improving, he's actually lost 30 pounds (probably due to all the stress lately) but he likes the way he looks, so it's actually a good thing for him. He feels a bit younger I think. I told him, "Maybe one day you will see the amazing man I always have." He said "I am trying every day. It is tough some times, though."
