I'll leave that judgement to qualified people
I'm not judging you, so please don't read my response incorrectly than what I am trying to say. I am simply asking you questions, nothing else, which you answered, being you don't remember.

A kid who is attacked by a dog and thinks they're going to die as a result, absolutely could get PTSD either then or later in life, based on the fact that children do die from dog attacks, thus the trauma is valid for PTSD diagnosis. Kids are also very resilient... they recover from such things much better and faster than adults, but if the damage is done at that time, it is done, thus more stressors and trauma in your life, even non-qualifying, can lead to PTSD developing in adulthood.

I'm not Judging either just didn't know you could get PTSD from something like that, I thought it had to meet a Criteria

Welcome, @Arr. I just wanted to echo what has been mentioned - what really matters with trauma is what you were thinking and experiencing at the time of an event. Sometimes it's hard to really remember what that was, especially if you adjusted to it. But what you experienced and thought at the time of occurrence is a big part of what creates the trauma-change in your brain.

Glad you're here.
