I'm not judging you, so please don't read my response incorrectly than what I am trying to say. I am simply asking you questions, nothing else, which you answered, being you don't remember.I'll leave that judgement to qualified people
A kid who is attacked by a dog and thinks they're going to die as a result, absolutely could get PTSD either then or later in life, based on the fact that children do die from dog attacks, thus the trauma is valid for PTSD diagnosis. Kids are also very resilient... they recover from such things much better and faster than adults, but if the damage is done at that time, it is done, thus more stressors and trauma in your life, even non-qualifying, can lead to PTSD developing in adulthood.
