I've had my PTSD from an assault long ago re-triggered accidently by-- of all things-- going through airport security! Don't let this happen to you...

Thank you! What what done to me at the Seatac could be categorized as a sex crime. Shocking as it was, it brought back recall of the event so many years ago. It is quite outrageous, I think, for a simple airline trip to re-trigger memories of being attacked--an event so long ago and far away. I look forward to connecting with people here on the ptsdforum and getting treatment. I'm also hopping mad that TSA is so oblivious to the harm these methods can cause, and welcome connection with others to try to bring awareness to this problem so TSA can be made to change their ways, and so others are not similarly harmed.
