Amethist, it's too late to say happy birthday cos it's already happened...I would have but my computer decided it didn't have to be a computer anymore and thus is my excuse. Amethist you are my first friend on this Forum and you have been a wonderful helpful person even extending a "Friend request" when I know you are flat out being part of the executive of this Forum and also your own personal reasons for being here. So, hugs and kisses Amethist for your birthday, don't worry the shock slowly subsides lol. Have a great year and from my heart I hope that something wonderful will happen for you this year. That's my gift...hope!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes.

Yesterday was a better day than the day it's self. Unfortunately I had what I can only describe as a melt down yesterday morning, so left hubby to deal with his own issues of yet another birthday blown away.

I phoned my youngest daughter and her partner, first time I have rung her when in melt down, but I am so glad I did. Not only did they come and pick me up, they also took me to a garden centre I have wanted to go to for a while now. For a few years I have wanted a terracotta strawberry planter, you know the one I mean, the ones with a few cut outs for the plants. I found just the one that I wanted, but when we got to the cashier to pay, my daughter would not let me pay for it, she said it was my birthday present as she had not know what to buy me. I was not expecting this at all, so now I have my planter and the strawberry plant to go in it.

Will post some photos up when it is established and growing well.

All I have to do now is try and mend some bridges, as well as trying to get hubby to understand why I had this melt down.

Success, hubby understood the melt down, he sat and thought through it all and worked out his own issues and answers.

He is now building the bridges and realising all he did, as well as understanding he should treat me as he did before ptsd invaded. He knows how to so now he has promised to put it all together and work even harder now.

Happy Belated,

I've only just caught this thread, and wished to say Happy Birthday. I've always loved the idea of growing strawberries like that, and when yours are in bloom that will be the only thing you'll remember from this year's birthday, I'll bet! It will be nice to see photos when it's grown!
