Thanks for your insight. I understand the process is going to long and hard, and he will need all the energy he's got in order to stick through it. I believe in him and knows that deep down he is a very strong person who has the will power to do it. Based on your experience, will it be too much if I want to send him 1/2 message to check up on him after a month?

Thank you for sharing your story. I happened to read your story back in April on this forum and found your story really similar to mine. (mine got the ptsd from child abuse incidents) How are you doing right now? Do you still keep in touch with your ex? I am really sorry for your loss and at the same time I'm hoping for the same thing for my ex as well. He has been so lovely and caring for the past three years until now he has really hit rock bottom and couldn't cope with anyone but himself. It hurts me so much knowing that he's been struggling so much, at least it's good that his family has been really supportive and been helping him go through every step with him. I hope you are doing alright.

I'm not sure I can answer this.

I think if you keep it lighthearted and don't mention therapy, then a check in text would be ok. I just know that for me, if therapy was rough and someone started asking me about therapy, I'd shut down pretty quickly.
