Sufferer Hello from Flagstaff AZ - PTSD, Legal Issues, Financial Issues, Disability, & Service Dog,

Hi all,
I just joined. Here's a bit about me. 56 year old female with a loooooong history of trauma, including two a*rests for illness-related "offenses", including being charged with a DUI for being in a diabetic emergency. I have been having terrifying nightmares of being a*rested again, with no clue why. I'm now afraid to fall asleep.
I have a 5 1/2 year old PTSD service dog, a pound pup Lab mix who named himself Rascal by his goofy mischief.
I am on disability and due to a recent concussion (ice is a BITCH!), I am in a real financial pinch right now. The Drs say it could be 6+ months before I heal from it.
There are no in-person groups anywhere near me, so I'm going to be here a lot.

Hey Chelleen! Im so sorry that has happened to you. I'm new here too and I absolutely relate to the fear of being arrested as I was put in the back of a squad car several times as a teenager (once was in front of about 150 people which is its own form of public humiliation when you live in a small town like I do.) Glad you want to try and work through those feelings here.

I'm sorry that happened to you too. It's horrible being afraid of the cops due to personal experience, ain't it? Glad you're here too and hopefully we can help each other and anybody else with similar experiences.
