Hit My Goal Weight Yesterday... New Goal.

Yesterday I hit 150 pounds. Next day after over 14 hours of work I was 149. Took me about 8 years... but detox from steroids is only about 4-5 pounds away from being complete. So I went from 206-208 to 149.

Satisfaction was enough for a couple days so no "reward" necessary. New goal of 145 and then re-evaluate about either 140 or build muscle. Yay me. Slower than I'd have liked but management/maintenance and perseverance paid off. Amen for da "P's".... Practice, patience, persistence, perseverance and prayer. Truest thing to hit goals I've ever found.

At time of relocation I was 160 but went back up to 180 due to stress of move and far less food choices in new location. So that is only a 10 pound accomplishment from the last success.... OR a 31 pound weight loss in about 9-12 months depending on how you look at it.

In the last 3 months and a week, due to the physical demands of the job I've lost 17 of those pounds.

Time to reprise/reaffirm:
“I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment, and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.” ~ Anthony Robbins
Also: "If something is exceptionally well done it has embedded in its very existence the aim of lifting the common denominator rather than catering to it.” ~ Edward Fischer

I am (feeling the difference) thanks and it shifted my mindset over time/the duration of the goal period. I started small over my membership here and worked my way up... I went from not being expected to return to work (physical chronic illnesses) at all to now being able to defy all prognoses (including PTSD as I was in the lowest group for recovery being a co-occurring PTSD/Substance Use Disordered person (alcohol)…. I am working full time and 2-3 times a week am doing 13 hour shifts.

The P's... all because of recovery for both alcohol, PTSD, and learning how to manage my chronic medical conditions least invasively and how to use SMART goal setting and the P's.

Hit the 140 lb. goal about a month ago even with a round of steroids for a health issue. Stress related but made the goal so whoo hoo. Weight has balanced out at 145 plus or minus 5 pounds and I'm good with that. Maintaining with exercise, whole food nutrition and other than allergies and the ravages of older womanhood (skin turgor) I'm liking what I see in the mirror and generally feel better.

It's all about the toning now and just in the nick of time cuz I'm fixing to be 59. Yay me! This goal item/accomplishment is officially closed. Tenacity is one of my strongest points I think cuz I never give up no matter how long it takes.
