My wife and I went to "THE HUNGER GAMES:CATCHING FIRE" with our daughter and son-in-law. I really enjoyed the movie, but it makes me incredibly sad, not depressed, to see how those with power can abuse the powerless.

I think author Susan Collins does a good job of showing how trauma can have such strong life-long effects on the traumatized.

If it is not something that will trigger you, it is a good movie to see.

I just saw the movie today, oh my gosh loved it! I tend to like movies a lot that stir emotions in me, maybe because it is safer to feel them in reaction to a movie than something happening in real life. And I tend to feel numb a lot, so it is also nice to feel things in a safe way.

I think I cried about five times in the first part of the movie! Especially when she was having reminders of the trauma. I noticed, too, the effects of trauma and thought it was really powerful and a great portrayal of it.

It also mad me angry about those with power abusing the powerless.
