I agree with @catjudo. Treatment is key. The poster has declined DBT, but she has called a case manager to get treatment with a therapist.
@Kristina25, you are clearly struggling with many relationships right now and yet rejecting all offers of treatment so far.
People with borderline personality disorder tend to push people away and get into dramatic and intense relationships and situations. All of your actions fit with someone with the low emotional regulation, cognitive distortions, and lack of interpersonal skills that are common for someone with BPD.
BPD is incredibly treatable. With treatment, the majority of people with BPD get better and no longer qualify have the diagnosis.
People who stay with those with untreated and unmanaged Borderline Personality Disorder tend to have a lot of problems and issues of their own. Your finance may need treatment of his own regarding how to make this relationship more healthy and how to properly support your health and wellbeing with the serious conditions that you do clearly have.
Couples argue about small stuff, that's not that unusual. To post about it on a PTSD forum is a little off, but people vent and get upset about small things when their stress cups are full when the have PTSD. But the way this situation is happening with you and your fiancé suggests a lot more is going on here than a simple argument and anger about when to get a Valentine's Day card.
People asked what your age was because you have an almost child-like view of what love is n this thread and others. The fact that a much older man was attracted to someone who has such a child-like view of romantic love is a little creepy.
You may not the best at picking guys to date, let alone to marry, right now. This argument about the Valentine's Day card may actually be another sign that you have picked another guy who might be into things about you that are not healthy to be attracted to, instead of someone who would more properly support your health and wellbeing, and take steps to support their own health wellbeing.
There are some very big problems here and I hope you seek out more help and support from the professionals you are connected to.
I have been wondering about this myself.I have to wonder about the reasons for staying in a relationship that appears to be entirely one sided.
