So relieved !!! It's something that needs monitoring but the Dr is not concerned about it if it doesn't change - so a bit of wait and see but a hell of a lot better than I had dare imagine. I got through the dreaded internal - being able to zone out has its uses ! Did almost have a melt down but pulled it round .

medicare doesn't cover any sort of GYN care as its designed for people who are beyond their child bearing years.

@Solara I would encourage you to look into this more thoroughly. I don't know if you have just regular medicare or if you are signed up for a medicare advantage/replacement plan through an insurance company, but either way they should be covering GYN care for you. Regular paps, birth control, etc should all be covered. I had a baby while on medicare and all of the visits, drs, hospital, etc were covered. And though I am long, long overdue for an exam...even when I was getting them regularly medicare paid for them. On my current medicare plan, I won't even have to pay a copay for an exam.
