I Pulled The Trigger And Got Me A Cat...

Congratulations on your newest arrival! Sparkles, my kitty from a shelter, is also hesitant. Comes out when the dogs are outside. The only time he doesn't care about the dogs is when Buddy, my female terrier mix, is sleeping on the bed with me. No one comes between Sparkles and my bedtime. He's willing to overlook the dog then, as he knows he gets the closest spot in the crook of my arm, near my head.

Sounds like he is checking you out and you are panning out. What a good match this is.

Sparkles! Hehe, thanks now Buddy/Batman/Flash has another name. ;)

"No one comes between Sparkles and my bedtime..." I have to say, for some reason, I can respect the statement but every time I read it it makes me chuckle. :) Like, "Hey! HEY! don't mess with me, I got Sparkles and I am NOT afraid to use him!" :)

Daily Buddy Toonces Dumbass (my wife hates that nickname, but I tell her at least I am only calling the cat dumbass and not her. :) )update:

I go to take a step down the stairs and the little bastard runs 100 MPH down the flight. He skips like 4 steps at a time. What does he do when he gets down? He rolls over on his back and yells at me to chase and pet him. What do I do? I run and chase and try to pet him, then the second my hand is near his belly he runs 100 MPH up the same Goddamn stairs!! I am not the lanky young running back I was in high school, these stairs are hard to negotiate, little pussy. ;)

Then I get up stairs and the bastard runs down again. The game, for him, is quite a foot. :)

@jd9900 Our cat tends to sit on her back legs and shake her head around, make a loud noise and then run as fast as possible around the house. She will jump around on the furniture and play on her cat pole. She's even knocked down the dining room chairs before.

If she is bored or wants attention then she knocks stuff down around the house. Pretty much anything small she can knock down on the dining table, coffee table, or side tables.
