Hi everyone. My username is Still.Here because on July 7th 2026 I survived being stabbed by a man with no known motive and a history of mental illness while I was doing my job as a porter on Hollywood Boulevards walk of Fame. It was just another night close to the end of my shift I was handing my co worker some trash bags he asked me for and trying to be polite as I waited for him to shut up and trying not to show that I was annoyed and wanting to get back to work and not listen to his mouth when this man comes up from behind me and stabs me in the stomach with something like a steak knife.
I'm having difficulty getting any treatment for my psychiatric issues that result from the attack. The victims of violent crime say workers comp. Should pay for it. Workers comp. Denies my psychiatric claim even though the attack put me in the hospital for a week. I spent half that week on a feeding tube not allowed food or water at all. I had to have major surgery where they removed all my organs to inspect for damage and put them back in they ended up removing 16 centimeters of my lower bowel when they found 6 puncture wounds in it. All that and the workers comp. Insurance company Gallagher Bassett says it denies my psychiatric claim due to insufficient evidence. So I'm in pretty bad shape mentally no one will treat me for it. I did manage to find a trauma recovery center that operates on grants for victims of violent crimes and have started EDMR with them but they only do up to 16 sessions before they quit permanently.l and they dont prescribe any medicine.
I'm hoping maybe I find some support and resources here.
