When my husband died it got me to thinking about my daughter and the girls so I paid for my burial, got a small life insurance policy for her, and I am writing a journal for the three of them each with their own for when I die I will leave something for them afterwards. I am enjoying it so much and all three of them so appreciate my doing it.

For a variety of reasons, none of them good I haven't been around for a while. I am trying to do nice things for me and these have included.

• Buying new pyjamas
• Having a pedicure (my first ever - it was blissful and I have already booked my next appt.)
• I now have a manicure every 2 weeks complete with gel nail varnish.
• I'm reading a lot.
• I'm typing this wrapped in a big fluffy towel as I've just had a shower and used a body scrub. Next body lotion.

Not bad.

Nice to hear KP. I haven't been around since just after christmas. Working 40 hours a week. It's become another form of avoidance.

KP, that sounds like really wonderful things you are doing for yourself! I am learning to do for myself. I bought nice face cream and I forget to use it. I changed my haircolor from cobalt blue to chocolate cherry. I bought new furniture for the living room, and stuff to go with it. Girly things. My son doesn't care but my ex husband who rents from me acts like I am trying to kill him. Hey, whatever works, lol. I am also starting my veggie garden from seed, and made my own potting bench.

I am excited about a trip I am planning for me and my family.

Where are you going, if I may ask? I'm hoping to go camping at Cape Disappointment this summer. It is a wonderful campground on the beach in WA. state. That is a really good idea for the journals. I may do that for Liam, since I was 37 when I had him and don't expect that I will be around when he is my age. He is the best thing that ever happened to me though.

I am planning a one day and night trip to Los Vegas with my entire family to see a show that Cirque Soioe. to see Mystere. The girls will love it. It is a artists dream and all of my family are artists. I am really looking forward to it. I have not thought I would ever see the show again since my husband died ten months ago. We have to reserve seating so it will take some time DharmaGirl to go there. I know you will love your vacation. They are so good for us.

I was wondering. I bought Joe Browns tennies from an online UK store, and they called them pumps. I just thought they were confused. I also bought a tank top that they called a vest.

I am going to reach out to my good friends more. I have a tendancy to think I am imposing when I reach out and ask for help. I am going to change that and I expect it will be more fun.

I truly need some 'me' time as I have a lot of bone and joint pain and too much stress at home. I would love a massage but need to see my doctor tomorrow before I decide to go for it.

Has anyone had a massage and if so, what does it entail?
