Increase In Colds?

I've seen a correlation go the exact opposite way. I get sick, and then my trauma will come back and haunt me. I figure it has to do with me feeling really sorry for myself. But maybe that's something I could watch a little closer, it would make sense that if one were not feeling well emotionally, they might have a higher chance of physically becoming ill.

I sure do and even kind of welcome it because at least there's a physical manifestation of how crap I usually feel inside.

Thanks for the input. It is helpful to know I'm not the only one...

@Santa_Laurie - I hope you feel better soon!

@AqueousAndroid - that is an interesting correlation!

I've had PTSD for awhile (my therapist says since I was a toddler) but I've never processed trauma until about 6 months ago. Since then, I've had so many colds and infections it is just downright ridiculous!

Fighting off yet another cold now....

Is it possible to catch a cold from a message board?! I too have a cold now. And I've been feeling particularly blah the past couple weeks. Never noticed a correlation between my mood / ptsd flare ups and getting sick, but I'll start paying attention now.

I think when you are more stressed that your immune system is weaken. When I was in grade school I was always sick, after getting married I can count the numbers of times I have been sick on one hand.
