I got two mice over the weekend and they are just the sweetest of the sweet.
Meet Aeva and Evan. They like to be held and pet, they are full of personality

I would have never pictured myself owning mice of all things, but while I was shopping for food for the bunny, Aeva was showing off and they just *had* to come home.

From the Book: YOUR INNER CHILD OF THE PAST" by W. Hugh Missildine M.D.

"You can relieve yourself of much anxiety, tension and chafing irritation if you can learn to be a kindly but firm parent to yourself by looking upon the feelings of your own "inner child of the past" tolerantly. You can also more truly be yourself than you have ever allowed yourself to be. Much of your tension and anxiety may simply be due to your own fears of your childhood feelings revealing themselves -- and your efforts to suppress and hide these feelings, to disown and deny them."

The book also goes into some case histories that the Dr. treated. These are interesting. He explains how our inner child can sometimes mess up our present life, because of constraints placed upon us in childhood by the things our parents did to us that were called for by our society and how it views the raising of children.

I am enjoying this book a lot....

My inner child loves the Nutcracker Ballet and especially at this time of year!

She also asked God to teach her how to pray today, as she was never taught this as a child, because her parents were atheist and agnostic. God is helping this child of His to learn to pray!

I let my inner child jump on the bed and land in a pile of fluffy pillows. It was relaxing. When she laid upside down in a big arm chair, started giggling, and had to be helped up by her best friend, it felt warm inside. It was nice to be able to laugh and have fun without an abusive parent shaming me. It is okay as an older adult to let my inner child play. :-)

I bought some erasable colored pencils and a sketch pad for my inner child for Christmas with some money I received for the holiday from my Daddy's first cousin. She sent me $20 cash in her card, which she always does. I try to caution her not to send me cash in the mail, but a check instead, but she always sends cash anyway! One year the card didn't arrive, and I was worried that she had passed away, but thankfully she is still alive. I had trouble reading her card though. She asked me how old my grandmother was when she passed away. I guess she is trying to figure out how much longer she might have to live. I actually don't remember how old my grandmother was when she passed, I have to ask my sister. But I am not sure if I want to pass this info on. I don't know what to do. It seems like such a morbid thing to ask! (Especially at this time of year). My inner child is afraid.
