Best in who's opinion?

Maybe if you could open up your mind a bit, you'd see that no one medication, therapy, treatment, etc works for everybody. Unfortunately you're so dead set on ecstasy being THE way that you can't see how it can be problematic and you come off as a drug pusher. (Which is no better than a psychiatrist pushing drugs on his/her patients).

Solid discussion. I respect the OP-silverwings and the heartfelt post. In remission I can say I experimented with many things MDMA included and for me that is a no-go (didn't stop me from trying a few more times to be sure). Like a lot of things in life, we already know the answer (as OP said):

Everyone is different. Depending on genes, gender, physical attributes, health status, relationship status, race, and many other factors – one may be affected by trauma in various ways, and some of us have absolutely no control over the fact we are afflicted with PTSD.

Certainly we are different and our solutions are somewhat different. I say somewhat because essentially I feel our solutions are mostly the same its just the timing of events, people, vitamins, lifestyles, attachments, and pursuits that make it seem so different. For me the vitamin Niacin did wonders and I truly believe it would do so with most sufferers. Here is a quote from an earlier post of mine to elaborate and prevent carpal tunnel:

To Bethan and the query for suggestions I have many (a few essentials and multitudes of nuances). Firstly I'd suggest looking into the vitamin Niacin. I cannot rave enough about it. I strove in every means conceivable for progress and found it in many forms but few as bountiful as Niacin. It was suggested to avoid the flush free kind because its biologically less effective. And since many people find the flush too much the time released version is preferable. Size of dose is of concern because a PTSD sufferer may require high-ish doses but too much without the proper diet can cause increased stomach acidity or ulcers-I know from experience (and other side effect, yes even vitamins have side effects, so does everything when you think about it).

Other than that find outlets and people you can relate to -digitally is nice, organically is better !!!

Regards,
Austin

We need to open our minds up toward anything that could potentially be helpful. If not for us personally then for other people. If this drug treatment is controversial to even PTSD sufferers then it's going to be even more years before anything ever comes from this. It's too early to dismiss it as not effective. It's still in the research gathering phase and it could just be hype like so many other drugs but if there is anything to it then it should be giving a chance to get more attention more research. Luckily it seems there are able minded people who support this trying to move it forward and I hope they make some progress.
