Especially when your mother tells you (when you've just admitted yourself inpatient because you're SUICIDAL) to, "stay for 2 weeks and be done with it for good. Once and for all".
Heather, sounds like your mother and my sister could meet and strike up good conversations.
Your comment reminds me of the time I called a sister for support after being transferred from ICU to regular hospital floor. My sister then immediately said, There's something I ought to tell you but you really don't want to know. Her knowing me, I insisted Please tell me. Then she went on to boast of how two of her and her husbands witchcraft spells had succeeded, and that the third one regarding me was successful but misguided, stating the request was to get rid of me, not to land me in ICU, almost having died. Her talking and my listening covered the whole conversation and then I felt weak, depressed and very sad and I said, I should go now.
Crazy thing too, was the night I almost ended up OD'ing I had scribbled out a note, in case my end happened, while saying that I simply had had enough of all the awful negativity directed at and surrounding me and that I am sorry, but I couldn't stand the negativity anymore.
