Good Morning to all that support their loved ones. I agree it is very hard, but nothing that is truly worth it is easy. You need to work at it. And understand all the whys? I remain close and ready for him when he needs me

Good Morning or not so good
As my guy distances himself yet again, but I know and have learned so much about PTSD that this too shall pass
I'm there for him because I love him and God knows true love is never easy but worth it
So as I sit back and wait and try to sneak in an encouraging word I pray for healing for him
I bought him a miraculous medal to wear around his neck for spiritual healing as well
And I just wait

@Kimberly Bogaczyk The beginning of my relationship has been hard. I have PTSD and we are the same way. We go from laughing and then all of the sudden I'll get triggered, and I'll want to break up to "flee." No matter how many times I try to leave this person and not because I don't love him. He stays and fights. The first month we started dating, I was diagnosed with PTSD and could barely make love. It was hard. I can't say for other people but having his support has meant the world to me. At times the stress probably does make symptoms worse. However, he has been my rock through it all. I don't know if we are meant to be or if we will ever one day be healthy. However, right now, I'm not willing to stop fighting.

He probably does care about you. And he most likely appreciates feeling loved and cared for. But yes,...

Thank you for that...I knew that this is what I should do in my own circumstances, but it's hard to hold off the communication, when we are left feeling insecure. But you are right, whenever I lay off, I hear more from my Vet. Duly noted...thank you again.

I think I know how you feel because it's the exact way I feel when I hear from my guy. Though he's distant now and my heart is heavy, I remain here and wait
