@KP and CraftyCath: Thank you so much for the photos and sharing! Although I am obviously over emotional due to the insomnia (great excuse), the pictures and story all brought a tear to my eye (honestly, trying hard not to cry). You are both very brave (the driving and the meeting up!) and funny. Basically, I am saying what gizmo is saying:

I am so very happy for you guys. I think this is just lovely. I am jeolous in a good way. I want to meet up too.

Wow I never saw this thread before. Sooo awesome! That is wonderful that some of you have been able to meet up!!!!

I admit I'm apprehensive about it. Then again, I'm on the West Coast. :(

Hi Sailorgal,

I am ALWAYS nervous about meeting up but we always meet in a public place and I haven't regretted it at all. There are some wonderful people on here.

Are you West Coast USA? Perhaps you and a few others could do something there? It is a big step but truly worth it.

Just take it at your own pace. Also remember safety first, public place etc.

When we had our big meeting in March, 3 of us took our husbands. It was nice because they developed friendships as well.

Cath and her Hubby came to visit again last week. We had the most amazing day. The weather was kind and we spent most of the day in the garden. Our men folk and my dogs went out for a walk, leaving Cath and I to look after the garden and wine ;). She brought some of her card making things and gave me a master class in embossing, all went well until I came to use the guilletine to cut the card as I promptly cut my lovely card in 2 - oops. The second one was much better.

Cath bought me a lovely plant for the window ledge in my kitchen. As you can see it goes well with my new tiles.

I can't wait for our next get together.

I understand. I feel so lucky that we live close enough to visit one another and that our husbands have made friends as well.

It really was a wonderful day and KP's H made a lovely chicken tagine, KP's garden is beautiful and I must say I felt really relaxed which is unusual for me in company. It was either that KP and her H are wonderful people or it was the wine! I think it was the former!

I'm a little jealous, but then in a nice way of course.
