I think you've answered your own question.

All those "stereotypes" about politics and the good ol' boy network are based on reality. So, what ever help you find is going to have to come from outside that immediate area. The thing is, this kind of corruption CAN be brought down. It needs to be made public somehow and to a wider audience, outside the immediate area. Again, thinking about those who might be able and willing to help, what's the biggest and most liberal media outlet in your state? (Realizing that "liberal" where you live and "liberal" where I live are 2 wildly different things!)

You even gave me a good chuckle to go with the tears. (that particular option has not been marked completely off my list, but enough said about that).

Her therapist has told me that she has made more reports on the behalf of my daughter than other reports combined in her 8-10 years of practice. She, unlike many, is very willing to appear in court.

The father's attorney IS very intimidating & personally involved in this case. You are very right about their attempts to blame me( even my mother) for my daughters statements. All we have ever told her was to tell the truth.

Thank you also for the link. The past week Ive been considering who to contact at that level( federal). Often hotlines & advocacy groups ( when called ) reroute you to somewhere else and you end up back at a local level. I'm going to give this one a try.

Scout, thank you again... I just saw your last reply after I sent mine( I have a tendency to get long-winded).

I don't watch/follow the news, so I'm not sure who I could contact... But I will definitely be looking into it....

From the bottom of my heart, thank you...thank you all! I expected my thread(?) to have cobwebs before it got a response... Now I can barely keep up( I have two girls at home now,( my big girl and one 5months).

But I cannot begin to tell you what your ideas (suggestions, personal experiences, insight, etc...) mean to me... And essentially my little girl.

Have you contacted your state Attorney General's office, the State Police, and your elected representative to ask them for their help? They may be willing to put some heat on the local police department for failing to investigate.
