This week I have achieved gaining my full UK motorcycle license. I’ve had a car license for 13 years (crikey!), so going back to the beginning with a whole new type of vehicle was daunting.

It’s an intense week. You go from a little 125cc bike to taking your test on something 650cc or higher. The bikes my training school used are 850!

I’m so very proud of myself. And I have actually used grounding techniques and whatnot to keep a level head and not get overly anxious.

In the end I was still nervous and didn’t ride as well as I had been, but it was above the standard therefore I passed.

Just wanted to share a happy story of a fairly big achievement for me!

I bought a motorcycle today! A Triumph Trident 660. Pick it up next week!
Cool. I used to ride......before mobile phone usage became rampant. With only one working eye it was way easier than a car because mirrors were all in my field of view.
Last bike was a Bandit 1200.....

Bandit 1200 is a cool bike. The 600s are popular for people to start out on.

Spur of the moment, today a friend and I went to wheelie school! It was so much fun. You feel like you’re a hero and then you see a photo and you’re like half a foot off the ground! But it was really cool. Don’t have a photo of the wheelies, only a video but here’s one of me riding round to line up to go again.

I’ve only had my license a week it’s crazy!

First time I did a wheelie on the Bandit was unintended. Just finished break in and sitting at the lights. Though "I can open it up at last'.

Dropped the clutch, twisted the throttle, stood it right on end......oops....

Sweet - love the triple's, so much less vibration than the fours.

Very cool!! Looks like a ton of fun!

Weird fact - in Canada, we get all the Euro spec bikes - not the American spec bikes. Always a pain for some things - had to go to an English seller for engine guards because the motor mounts were different on the Bandit and Suzuki only stocked the American spec parts that didn't fit.....
