Saw too late (and was short on time) the end of the OP that said, "something to ease and soothe". Peppy stuff like above helps me, quirky/funny/silly/light. But for soothing and easing It's Ardas (a wordless prayer) - In ancient times, Ardas was known as the prayer that goes beyond all prayers. Ardas is known to be changing and evolving prayer which is recited by an individual in accordance to his/her feelings, accomplishments and state of mind :

I actually have it on the original cassette and it is both sides... about 30 minutes per side.

@mary1979 I listen to a lot of relaxation music on youtube [there are too many to recommend; if you have a particular instrument you like there will no doubt be relaxing music related to that]. I find instrumentals are better when I'm sick of my thoughts. It is good for mindfulness practice too.

I recommend finding music to sing along to if that helps you process. I have certain songs that can bring me to tears which I avoid a lot, however, if I'm in the midst of memories returning I sometimes listen/sing along to these songs as a way of releasing the emotions.

Another suggestion: finding as many songs that make you feel happy as possible, and using this list as a coping mechanism.

Thank you for this thread mary1979 :headphone::)

Thank you for this thread as well. I often use music as well - this one at full volume sounds like it understands, and things will be better...
Ah. I'm too new to post links.
