Thanks for all your responses, it helps to know I'm not alone.
To be honest, after 3 years in therapy I'm thinking it's pretty much been a waste of time (not to mention money). There have been some helpful things, but mostly I find that for me at least therapy has kept me in the victim mindset. Always dwelling on the past. Plus there is the almighty all knowing therapist who has many other clients, and then there is you with only the one therapist desperate for her time, her attention and of course it's never enough. It always leaves me feeling empty & disempowered and I've come to the conclusion it's just not worth it.
