Sufferer Navigating PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, & OCD as a Student. Looking for people I might relate to better.

Hi everyone,

I would like to introduce myself to this forum.

I am a 22-year old university student who was recently diagnosed with PTSD (C-PTSD), GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), MDD (Major Depressive Disorder), and OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder).

I have experienced a variety of traumas that have led me to seek out help. Recently, I was prescribed 10 mg of Lexapro and 10 mg of Hydroxyzine. I also receive counseling every week from a trauma-informed therapist.

Despite my progress, I find it to difficult to talk to others because, if I’m honest, most people haven’t experienced the traumas that I have faced. Because of this, I would like to reach out more to individuals who I might relate to better.

Here‘s to healing. 💚

Aloha! Welcome to the community.

Despite my progress, I find it to difficult to talk to others because, if I’m honest, most people haven’t experienced the traumas that I have faced. Because of this, I would like to reach out more to individuals who I might relate to better.
If you’re looking for people with similar trauma histories? I’d suggest posting a thread in the Trauma & Stressor Discussion

Or? Use the search feature to find threads others have posted those kinds of traumas.
