I know this response is over a year late, but I wanted to add my opinion. Everyone's experience is different, we all define them in different ways and have our own language around experiences. If birthrape is what one feels has happened, then who am I to judge? Only the survivor can speak as to which term fits their circumstances. I personally don't find it helpful to debate terms as the real message gets lost within the debate. I hope to always look at the story and not just the words. Anyone else who wishes to do the same has my encouragement! My deepest empathy and sympathy for what you went through Sywen. No one should have to endure that. x
