[Just tryin to heal]

ok went to see the med doc and got some new meds to try paxil CR-for anxiety, lorazepam-for acute anxiety, and prazosin for sleep anyone have any experience with any or all of these

I was on Paxil for years. It worked for me, the only withdrawal symptom I got was nausea for about a week. Prazosin was a miracle drug for me. It stopped the nightmares. Well, actually, it stopped my reaction to the nightmares. I didn't wake up screaming 6 or 7 times a night. It also helped with my startle response. I would wake myself with a snore, and scream from startling. This drug really, really helped a lot. Lorazepam works really well for my panic attacks while I work on other ways to bring myself down. Every drug works differently for some people, but it seems you have an excellent med tool box to help.

didn't tolerate Prazosin--affected my blood pressure. Instead with SSRI, use lorazepam-for acute anxiety, and low dose clonazepam .0.124 mg BID, and use the benzos for sleep.

Prazosin has been great for my nightmares. It took a while to adjust the dose so that my blood pressure would stay steady, other than that no troubles :)
