To bring out another whopper (representative of, frankly, that whole freakin' album). Even without understanding the lyrics, I guess it might be hard to miss the way his voice just oozes helpless frustration.

It's a 'recognise it when you hear it' song (don't have a clip, but I'm sure YouTube would sort that out...

O Fortuna, by Carmina Burana. It's in latin because the lyrics were written by a bunch of monks about 800 years ago.

"O fortune, changeable as the moon...
See how the brave man is crushed by fate."

Stirs anyone.

I've seen it live. Pretty awe inspiring. I like a lot of non-english stuff, but problem is I think a fair amount of it isn't actually any language, just stuff that sounds like words. Lisa Gerrard singing Now We Are Free from Gladiator, for example. Or a lot of gaming music (Peter Hollens doing Skyrim, stuff by Malukah). I might hunt out sone of the classical stuff I like.

Anyway, for something completely different, this classic is something I grew up with. I think I know this version better than the English song (Morning Dew). It brings up good memories.
