I do need to learn or revisit how to be grounded.

I was so distressed about it all, which is not unreasonable given that I suffered a concussion. Also they will be in trouble for not following me up with a phonecall or email. They didn't follow the required processes or procedures.
Unfortunately my PTSD was triggered, but the anxiety that comes from a concussion was a significant issue as well.
I am sorry you are struggling.
I like to offer what i learned from brain injury and concussions. Everything you are describing is like ptsd revved up with a heavy fog.
Not to overload you...here are some tips for acute stage post injury:
Reduce sugars and caffiene to allow nervous system a chance to take a step down. and reduce inflammation.
Increase fermented foods for neuroprotection.
Supplements:
MCT oil or coconut oil for ketones that can help fuel the repair process thay takes alot of energy...hence why we feel tired and sleepy. 40ml twice a day.
GABA to reduce over firing neurons..excitotoxicity which can lead to cell death.
BCAA (or foods containing) branch chain amino acids speeds up repairs. I think it is 0.7g/kg for 15 days. The amount is apprx 3 times more than recommended for normal use.
OMEGA 3 (or lots of fish/nuts) to help recovery as brain is made of fat. 3000mg of DHA... i know its a lot compared to 500mg for general health maintenance values.
SLEEP and Fasting.
Sleep without disruption (i know its hard but try sleep....listen to body) allows the clean up crew to remove toxins and hunt for free radicals to help heal brain. There are special cells called astrocytes that only activate during sleep.
Fasting, intermitten fasting and or safe cardio exercise (chk with doc is u clear for activity) promotes BDNF that helps grow new cells.
I wish you the best for speedy recovery.
Yes I am trying not to do too much, and I have done pretty well with that.It sounds like your anger is well placed, you know what you need to do, you got it together, and you are aware of the post-concussive symptoms.
Looks like you have had a difficult time, but you are spot on with your feelings and responses.
Thanks for all your insights and information. Please make sure to see a specialist in head trauma.....not just a general practitioner.
Thanks it has been tough @shatter eyes I have struggled.I am sorry you are struggling.

I understand taking comfort in sugary foods. I learned the shared suggestions about a year after..and still dont always have the motivation to be consistent.
They are most effective in the early stages. I used to eat alot of bakery and chocolates. I eventually tapered off. Now i tdy to be mindful and choose dark chocolate over milk..less sugars.
@Wilbur thanks i should tell doc about GABA bcuz i got seizure disorder too after tbi.
Increase activity gradually is good as with rest. You are doing all the right things! I hope you feel better soon.
