I had a moment of success today.

A work colleague has a similar appearance to the person who abused me. Today I was not only able to go for a walk with him to collect the office lunches, but was able to sit down and have lunch with him.

In the past I have been triggered badly. Today was a breakthrough for me.

Great job , Courageofsnow!!! I've worked with a person that reminded me of my abuser and it's so scary and uncomfortable. Glad you were able to work through it :)
