Why I'm leaving this forum
I don't want to be dramatic, but someone may follow back my posts there in the future, who want to cure himself from PTSD too; so I have to tell him why came this sudden split in my activity.
1. The first thing you have to understand my friend, that this forum is created, ruled and edited by PTSD-sufferers. If you've read my posts carefully, you know what it means. Anyway, I was banned because of my following post:
"It took an hour to edit the very important Van der Kolk article from pdf, removing a lot of stuff, editing it so everybody can read it pleasantly. Now I received an editorial message that I would have to go to every single line with my mouse, and hit 'delete', then 'space', so that the holy rules - 'The Great Rule Of The Full Lines' - be left in peace.
But the editors missed the whole thing, because the article is a POEM!!!"
I was immediately banned. "Reason: Argumentative, attacking posts towards others."
That manner in Europe would be seriously inappropriate. It is violation. Senselessness. Deafness. Dumbness. But guess with what Europeans punish that manner: not with pure violence, but with humor, with esprit.
Anyway, don't be mad at them: they don't see it because they are - can I say it without being banned? - sick, they have PTSD so they just don't have the right sense of judging what is an "attack", and what is a joke (which by definition has to be a little attacking, that's why it's funny). I wanted to answer to "Nicolette" in a private message but then that joke came to my mind and it was so funny that I posted that thread, in the Chit Chat area, with an abnormally long title, and with a very good joke, I have to say.
So whether it's a blessing that this forum exists or not, the fact is fact: it is a slightly terroristic place, because with ruling and editing they take revenge on their inner chaos. Just a little ruling, just a little "taking charge" - that is what is missing to them in their lives, and the compulsive craving to get it back IS PTSD. Others do drugs, they do that forum. Very sad thing, but PTSD is a very sad thing.
Well, with that they've lost a person who has understood PTSD and the cure.
2. The second reason is that this forum is just the same as the Stuttering Forum. And it was a madhouse. Nobody really, essentially wants to cure himself, because PTSD is the wanting to NOT to be normal, because normality is traumatic. They enjoy the new "method", the new "hope", but with that arguing, talking, writing, chatting manner they just won't succeed, and it's necessary, because they don't want to, their frontal lobe can't trick their ruler, their amygdala. You can't either, but you know it.
So you, my friend, have to decide what is that you want. If you're my friend, then you've already decided. I've written down with golden tint for you that PTSD is necessarily curable, and what methods would work in my theoretical view.
3. The third reason is that I'm no longer a PTSD sufferer. I've cured myself. I just wanted to stay here to adapt my theory of stuttering to PTSD. I wanted to leave you the needed articles to your home-made cognitive therapy. But you'll understand, that with my freedom I have better things to do than arguing with people who edit articles without any sense, naming whatever rules, playing the shepherd who defend the herd, who are seen PTSD-puppets. They'll never see, that what's offending is not what I'm saying but their manner taking it offensive. This is not a personal matter against them, ... -
No, I won't try to make another joke.
All the best,
Mate Sandro
from Hungary
P.S.: My last post will be the following posting my theory developed to stuttering. It may help you, because there's no difference in substance, but PTSD develops in other ways on the surface. And that theory is years older, so that key terms are not explained or explained poorly. So you have to think a lot more. I'm really sorry. But who knows, maybe it's a benefit.
