Other Parties Psychology Report Now In

The psychology report for the other party arrived yesterday, and while it is not as bad as we were expecting, the guy who did it has a damn cheek with some of his comments.

One comment was that he looked unkempt. :eek:

I did not realize there was a dress code. Nobody said it was a suit and tie affair. :rolleyes: Hubby was dressed smart casual, in trousers he had worn maybe 6 times, a jumper I bought not long ago and he had worn twice before, a polo shirt with collar turned down over his jumper, and a warm jacket. All clean washed and paid for.

It was also stated that I had given him too much care, and even though he had talked of ending it all, he had not attempted it. Oh I am so sorry I did not realize talking someone down from suicidal thought's was classed as too much care. I know now it is. WTF

Oh and he seemed to be exaggerating his PTSD issues. :roflmao: Yea right, hubby actually held back with some things, wonder what he would have said if he had given it to him with both barrels.

A chat with his solicitor tomorrow, then fine tooth comb is being used for every word, sentence and full stop.

I think what counts is who you love is still living.
But it's a frightening reality.
With all due respect to professional opinions, you likely have better understanding(s) than they do. The trenches are an awful teacher. :(

It is part of the game, and from what I gather that is the way it is played.

My ex got run over at work years ago. He's not somebody that would ever put in a claim, but as it wasn't on his companies premises he was told he had to. Even with a physical injury that is much more clearly defined, they tried their hardest to make out he was lying and it was his fault. I can't imagine how difficult it must be with mental illness which is so hard to prove.

But I think you end up having to understand that these people are doing a job for money, there is no reality or ethical consideration in what they do.

It is a joke some of the things they say, but a very sick joke. I broke a bone in my neck C7, lateral, and yet the psychologist report said my pain was psychological.

I and Amethists H are among the lucky ones, we have support to fight this with/for us.

Hee, Deb you are so funny (and cute :) ).

It 'gets me', with ptsd, that we seem unable to defend ourselves, or unable to 'speak up' for ourselves. I guess we're too busy feeling 'flattened'. :(

You make me :). I am finding my voice and it is roaring now. (I don't mean as in always raised, just stating clearly what I need, want or expect and not settling for less. It's been really helpful with all of the medical stuff. Had a few issues with my own insurance company, called, addressed it and it is fixed.

You will find your voice and we all will eventually. I think having someone that supports you though makes the path a lot easier. So go KP's H and Amethist!

I will say what I have said before..... this is all a game with the intention of the insurance company/responsible entity trying to minimize their costs.

I have seen one line taken out of an entire fully written page and misconstrued into something it wasn't in order to win a financial settlement. It has nothing to do with what is written - it is how it is interpreted and manipulated in order to achieve an outcome.

As previously stated, with my back injury, they produced reports which made me cringe, think I had no hope and minimized the injury, damage and its long term effects. Yet they wanted to fuse my spin! Hello?!

It comes down to believing that you deserve your compensation, be willing to not waiver no matter what they throw at you, be open to knowing you may not 'win' but that will not be due to you, it depends on the solicitors/lawyers and the judge if it goes that way.

You have to have conviction and a strength of steel as they will try and mentally break you any which way they can or at least try to convince you that you have no case in hope you will give up the case.

From the morning before my scheduled court hearing until 1/2 an hour before walking into court my compensation offer increased by 600%. I lost that much money in income had I been working for the entire process however my fight was more about justice than money. I could have walked into the court room and got double of what I ended up accepting; they may have had a superb barrister and I could have walked away with the initial insulting offer. I took a middle ground and what was in my hand rather than gamble. Each case has its own merits and you have to be guided by that and have full faith and trust in your lawyer. Then it's a case of roll the dice and hope..........

Remember, this battle (and for you too KP), is not about a person; it is about $$$$. Once you can come to terms with that you then work on strategies and build on what you have in your favor trusting it will outweigh a paid biased report.

Good luck...... You know Amethist that until this report you were very confident. Don't let them whittle that away from you.
