Pain & Ringing Ears

I guess the pain is emotional. Some times it seems like anxiety. I find it harder to turn off. It seems to reach into my brain, making it difficult to think or read or hear. I get fleeting thoughts of suicide and self harm when the pain is bad. At times I've found some relief when I can label the pain, but nolong works. It usually goes after a while particularly of I can use minfulness.
It just seems odd because it isn't obviously connected to anything. Though having said that I think people's stories (im a t) and reading trigger the pain.

I also have the ringing ears. For me it's triggered by strong emotions, mostly anger/hurt feelings that I feel trapped with.

Being physically tired sets me up for the body stuff more than anything else. I find that giving myself more time to rest and recuperate helps prevent most of it. Drinking enough water, eating protein and veg to balance carbs, and getting some walk and sunshine in goes a long way, too. :)

I hope you find some simple solutions.

Have you tried aromatherapy?

I can often use Vicks under my nose to trick my body out of a trigger now.

I have almost constant ringing in my ears and I hate it. I've had quite sensitive hearing since I was a young child, so my guess is that somehow fits in with the ringing issue. It does get better at times, but no permanent solution unfortunately.

I can stop the ringing with relaxation and mindfulness sometimes. Other tines I have to do something active that distracts.
