The beach is littered with clamshells and these little holes where the seagulls dig them out, It was cold, ably 20 F and a steady wind from the West making it cold on the face .

Wow @Mach123! I can practically smell the snow and the background smoke from fireplaces! Having memories of when I was a child in the foothills of the Rockies and wearing my snowsuit as I carved out little caves in the drifts.

Went to the gem show yesterday. That’s a 7-pound rose quartz! And I didn’t know that peacock ore (the iridescent blue and purple ones) are chalcopyrite treated with acid—Oops—I prefer the natural stuff, but they are pretty! The green one on the left is malachite. We also got a little family of trilobites, top right.
