I second @MrMoonlight on Imitrex for migraines. It definitely works but the downside to it for me is that it puts me down for several days but that is worth it to me.

My Doctor also recently started me on a low dose of Topomax to decrease the frequency of migraines. I just started taking it this week so I can’t comment yet on whether or not it helps. Just throwing it out there for when you speak to your Doctor.

Migraines are terrible!

Huh... I'll ask about those! Thanks!

Also, @MyWillow -- did collecting firewood help? I totally forgot to wonder if activities like working out would help. Running doesn't if my head hurts too much -- feels like my brain is rattling around (which is definitely not true in reality or I'd be having much worse problems :P ) -- but did activity help?

Going running or biking alleviates my menstruation cramps, which ironically get so bad that I can't move, but haven't done that since I started working out every time I felt them starting. I wonder if natural endorphins would help...?

Activity helped temporarily but then I crashed again. Food, aspirin, paracetamol, anti-inflammatories and another night’s sleep (or part of it) and I’m a bit better again. Cuddles with my kitties and dogs didn’t hurt either.

So...not sure if this helps...but after pulling myself together for a full on day at work I took my young dog to agility training tonight. She was awsome by the way. Home late-ish and other half was trying to be helpful but ended up triggering me unknowingly and suddenly I’m in tears again.

Couldn’t stand him staring helplessly so grabbed my oldest dog and headed off for a freezing walk in the forest. At midnight. More crying. And it hurt. It was about the same thing as before. But each bout of crying was over more quickly.

So over this shit but yeah the only way out is apparently f*cking through. I really need to go home but I could happily breathe this cold quiet forest air forever.

My theory: If I have a phone signal, then I can stay as long in the forest as I want to :)

Sounds like you really needed that. Stay safe :)
