I have currently close the site to work on all the little issues that have evolved, as all sites have in the beginning. I am hoping to not have to erase and reload the site data, which would mean those few current members would lose their data. I do apologise if I have to do that.

The site is in beta still, which means it is being tested to find issues. Those who have helped me to do this I thank very much. I have a good list of issues to deal with at present, and do not want to risk members inputting too much data and then losing it, as I would rather cap it now and if the worst comes to worst, not a lot is lost overall that cannot be quickly entered again.

The issues are mainly software conflicts, because I am trying to release some fairly radical stuff from a design viewpoint, and some of it is extremely new web technologies. With anything new, it has issues. So I may have to step back and tame it down, I may be able to work out the issues and deliver what I would be 110% impressed with and what others have already seen thus far...

Hang in and I will notify all here when and if all isssues are fixed. One of the problems is dealing with developers of software, as they often provide limited support and are hard to get a hold off at times to nut something out.

More to follow.

Oh no! how disappointing ... ah well, PTSDspace is going to serve our little community well and I really look forward to that so I guess a little patience is in order!

Thanks for all the work you are putting in to get it right ... I am really impressed!

Thanks Shiraz... well, after much reading and conflict resolution, stress and so forth. I am going to have to reload the site, ditch the current templating and go with a more basic templating system. Basically, web design technolgy has advanced so much in the last two or so months, that software development has not caught up and tested in those environments. So I am going to have to step backwards a little to some earlier design templates from Jan this year and basically load a default site, then when everything functions under default parameters, lastly load the design into it, review issues, whether they can be rectified or not, then decide whether to have to change the templating to something more simplier, etc.

This is why Facebook and other social networks have quite simple design, because the more complicated you make it, it really does make it more interesting from a design viewpoint to attempt. I am trying a lot of new technique only just released with CSS sectioning an entire site into elements, layers, etc.

I will keep you informed...

Anthony is working hard at fixing the site. He has spent days on it.

It is nice that people appreciate and acknowledge all his work and the time he invests in making the PTSD world a better place.

Anthony,

I've never thanked you personally for everything you have done for all the members here... But, just now seemed like a good moment to chip in... THANK YOU.

No worries, Anthony. The whole reason we signed up was to help you test the site. We knew it was still a work in progress. I'm glad we were able to help you pinpoint some issues. It's a great site that you've put together. Make sure you take time to relax and not get too stressed while trying to fix the glitches. And when you're ready to give it another try let us know.

I have placed a twitter update in the left column, bottom, which will keep anyone updated on what is happening with PTSD development. It is temporary and I will be removing it once the site is completed, tested and fully functional.

Anthony, I am pleased (and grateful) that you are taking this time to provide the PTSDSpace for us, and that you are providing updates on its development. I would love to be a member of the space once it is done if that is possible.
