Just watched a lovely documentary called shelter me about shelter dogs. A large part deals with how they train dogs from shelters to work with ptsd veterans. I had a really bad day today, I couldn't go out of the house, but watching this, snuggled up with my new puppy, gave me a boost.

Thank you everyone for your comments and movie/book/TV suggestions. It is great to hear how all these stories relate to our ongoing struggles. Keep them coming, whenever you discover something new (new to you that is, even if it's not a new work in terms of time).

watching 'Don't call me crazy' a fly on the wall documentary about kids in mental hospitals (UK might be in USA?)

Its set in Manchester in the UK. I love this programme and think the teens on it were really brave to share their stories with the world. There only seems to be 3 episodes though?

I'd recommend The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I think Homeland the TV series is a good suggestion too.

I agree Becca.

They showed such strength and inner truth.

It was an inspiration to watch and showed their vulnerability and willingness to learn about themselves and change their beliefs in the world and themselves. :)

It gives us hope. :0

best wishes
Saffy :)
