well to say I am angry is an understatement !! I have not had any replies from therapists !! This is what I get where I am !! They are all too busy :-(

I am sure people here think I am making things difficult !! But I am not !! They won't reply to me :-( how am I supposed to get well if nobody will help me ...

Sometimes it feels like you are invisible to the rest of the world. Like you have to break in to the system but you don't know how to do it.
Persistence - that's how you get well. Sometimes I think I've lost that, but it keeps coming back and I try something else.

Hang in there!

That sounds terribly frustrating, I'm sorry you have to put up with that sort of inconsiderate behavior. It's happened to me also, so you're not alone in that department. Are the therapists you're reaching out to specialists in certain treatments or are they just general therapists who see a little bit of everything?

They are general therapists. Still not heard anything back from my calls etc. It's so frustrating isn't it !

When you make that first contact with a new therapist, whether it's on the phone or via email, do you go into all of your symptoms?

No I just say what my condition is PTSD and disassociative dissorder

Have you considered reaching out to a therapist who specializes in trauma? They may be better prepared to manage and work with your symptoms. Easier said than done, which is unfortunate. If a specialist isn't an option and you just need someone to talk to, you still gotta get in. If I may offer a suggestion, I am uncertain that it will work, but it has helped me. You could try saying that you have a lot of anxiety from past trauma. It separates you from a diagnosis, which is a label, and you're not a label. You're a unique, individual person. Diagnoses are helpful at times, but that's a different convo. I am also not trying to minimize your symptoms or experience in any way, I just want to help you come up with ideas for getting in to see a therapist.
