I'm a really anxious person and I don't handle confrontation well. I've come to a crossroad where I must make a decision. Following months with them and feeling like I don't jive with the methods that they use, I am going to go elsewhere. How do you "quit" your T?:O_o: I'm actually very nervous about it.

What I hear is recommended is that you keep current T while looking for another T if you can. once you find one that you "jive" with let old T know that you appreciate what they've done, but that you just didn't feel they were the right fit for you. , then move forward with new T. The old T has probably already had this happen before.

I have quit too. It took me a while to find someone supportive. I was nervous the first time to quit when things were not going well. It was more of a fixing situation than a supportive therapist and it was becoming stressful.
I called her office and left a voice message. She offered me a free session and apologized. I did go back for a while, but it didn't work out. I ended up sending an e-mail explaining why it wasn't working out and stopped permanently. I wish I didn't go back expecting different, but when I found someone supportive I realized the fact it wasn't working was normal.

I hate confrontation too! I sent an email. Didn't explain anything, I just said I'd decided to take a break.
You don't owe your therapist anything - he/she works for you and you pay for it! If it doesn't feel right, you don't have to do anything but what's the right thing for you.
This is your life and you want to be well, and you are the best navigator of your ship. If things don't feel right to you, just take the helm and keep steering towards what feels right!
How your therapist feels about that is their business.
