And there was that time that I saw a cute guy when I was getting coffee and started pouring the sugar into the garbage can instead of my coffee because I was too busy looking at him. This thread always makes me feel better too ;)
Miscalculating the distance from a curb when I was trying to make a turn. I shattered the front end of my car and the wheel was what I drove home on. I got my insurance to send a guy out to change my tire and went to a place where I ordered a new tire and they fixed the wheel was banged out so I did not have to replace it too. Now I have to take it to the shop and get some body work done and a new hubcap. I also have to get a rental while they are working on my car. I have to get my tires aligned too.
This thread does make me feel better. I do not feel so alone and I know it is ptsd. It makes me feel normal. Hugs for everyone.
This evening I bathed my grandson, chased him around the house to get him dressed, and brought him back to his mom. My daughter starts giggling and pointing at my jacket. I look down and I've zippered the inner jacket to the outer jacket, making me look entirely ridiculous.
My son texted me that he needed his game shirt washed for tonight. I found it put it in the wash and turned the power on. Later, after my nap, I went to put the clothes in the dryer. But they were dry. Apparently I forgot to hit the start button which is located right below the power button. Oops.
After doing a variety of silly things I got home yesterday and settled down so to speak. This afternoon H discovered the groceries I brought home sitting in their bags in the livingroom. Including fish and meat amongst other things! Not helped by me still having almost OCD type stuff around food freshness...
The complex where I live began a new trash processing initiative. The trash compactor is now too far for me to walk to, so I gathered up my trash in a garbage bag and put it on the back seat of my car - I'd drive to the compactor, drop it off, then do my shopping which happened to take several hours. It was nice and sunny and warm out today . . . need I tell the rest of the story? :yuck:
I received a box, thinking it was the Kris Kringle gift, despite not saying so, I set it aside. Next day I received another box. This one stating it was from Kris Kringle. Apparently the first one was one I just ordered off of ebay for a friend of mine. Duh.
Transporting my dog from one house to the other yard (where she can be out all day instead of kennelled here) I forgot she was in the trunk in the mile and a half drive. D'oh! And remembered she was there half way to work! Luckly I could put her in the yard where my other two dogs are in town. Phew. (The dogs all seemed quite pleased to see each other.)
