I've been working on the PTSD for almost a year, now. I feel like I'm making great strides, but I feel so sad that there are membersof my beautiful tribe who are still sunk deep in their pain.

I've been wondering for a while about why healing comes faster for some of us than for others. The only thing that makes sense to me is that I was programed to fight rather than flee. It's funny - my abusers inadvertently gave me the tool I needed most to heal from their abuse. I wish my mother was alive so that I could tell her that.

I really want to get off this roller coaster. I'm tired of trying to balance the epiphanic (don't even know if that's a word - don't even care) highs with the suffocating, despairing lows. I'm really in a shitty mood. :p

You just have to take that fighting spirit, even if it's taking a nap, and help yourself to understand, this part does not last forever. You are finding your OWN balance. Not your families, not your kids, not societies balance, but your OWN..... when you can own it, you don't feel quite so powerless....things change... the other stuff has been there for ever... takes time to find a place for all the new stuff... you are doing great, just doesn't feel like it because you are in the middle of it... love ya !!!
