Yet Another contrasting/comparing Title...
Tonight's dinner was awesome. It was fascinating seeing co-workers coming together outside the work place to celebrate success and accomplishments! The company (both co-workers & the corporate leaders) was praising our success to the company and the accomplishments of the company also. I hope I am not sounding out of character here...
I know I compared this to High School Graduation... To a degree, working for this company is like being back in high school! I wonder too if in ways, although I think I have nailed the root causes of the issues which I have posted about in my other threads... Five years marks a success as I have said in a previous post which is not unlike my four years of high school.
One person at the dinner was awarded for being with the company 25 years! wow... That's not quite a goal I see for myself. (At least not my present employer) I can maybe see myself self-employed by that time... (oh the dreams and aspirations)
In ways, tonight did feel like a combination of high school prom with graduation thrown in instead of dancing. I was a very happy and momentous celebration. I even had a glass of wine, which I did for several personal reasons, the main reason being I deserved a celebratory drink, I wasn't depressed, or anxious, I simply was socially who I am on a very good day!
