Does the kill command work on creatures too? I'm trying to test it on a drugr (whatever creature thing) it's not working.

I've typed just kill and 'kill'

Do I have to type out player.kill

or killdrugr

Working.

My horses keep jumping, falling and dying. Though, I usually run into bandits or vampires or flame throwing fire things and die after the horse does and before my next save so.... guess... it works.

Last time I walked off the bridge at the mage school in winterhold. I swear I was facing forward and the horse walked sideways straight off....died. But hey I got to walk around the shore at the bottom of the cliffs, found some interesting ingredients that I haven't seen before and then 2 wolves attacked. Would've been fine but I got ambushed by a frost wolf (snow wolf? ice wolf) from behind...died. Restarted on my horse back in whiterun.

Sneaky wolves. :roflmao:

Can't decide to be a mage or fighter, mostly I just wander around collecting things for no reason. hm..sounds like me in real life (except the collecting things) .. 0 commitment abilities. lol

I find my characters that rely on skills like Smithing level up pretty fast, while one of my pure mages is taking ages (lol rhyme).

I have an Imperial 'knight' named Astia who is in the twenties. She is a heavily armoured warrior who uses restoration magic. I tend to limit my characters to only the abilities that fit their style, even if doing so is less powerful. I like the challenge :)

For example, a character who uses two-handers would naturally want to wear heavy armour, as they want all the protection they can get, but I made a character that uses light armour and two-handed swords anyway just for the hell of it. It feels exciting having to dodge all the arrows and spells as you run in ready to chop a mage down in one swing! You have to really end the battles quickly and take advantage of the reach of your weapon (for keeping trolls out of range, for instance). A high armour rating is never as protective as you think, so often being able to avoid blows entirely is the better strategy.

One thing you will notice though is that some enemies occasionally rush forward when they attack, making backwards movement a poor evasive option. A better way to dodge these attacks--if you aren't in heavy armour--is to sprint past the attacker. For particularly slow attacks, such as the bear's standing power attack, you can often catch them in the back!

Did you ever play oblivion? I notice that in Skyrim all characters move faster. More thought by the people who made these games was put into who has speed when it came to attacking and dodging.

All my characters are always light. With light armor and use bows. Great sneak skills too. I do a lot of sneaking.

I was thinking of traveling to Helgen, with my in-game spouse. It's ruined I know, but I want to look around.

Yeah I generally prefer light armour too, although I have one character who uses heavy armour with the Steed Stone (got it out of the guide).

lol, I'm pretty obsessive... I looked through the guide and was like "right, I'm gonna have one character for the companions, one for the mages guild, one for the thieves guild, one for the Dark Brotherhood (who is also a vampire), one for the main quest, one for the Stormcloaks, one for the Imperial Army, one for most of the Daedric Shrine quests....................

......I haven't gotten around to completing the main quest yet.

Do you know they have a plug-in now for Skyrim? Have you tired it? It's not out for PC yet. But it's all about vampires. I think it's called Dawngurad.

I saw the preview for that; unfortunately I don't have Xbox Live so I can't download it :(

Main thing that excites me is crossbows. It never occured to me that they didn't have crossbows in the game (did they even have them in Morrowind??)

Some characters I would make specifically for the expansion if I had it:
-- Undead Hunter: Similar to a knight character that I already have but uses crossbows and light armour instead of heavy armour and a shield. Dawnguard adds a bunch of cool new Restoration spells specifically for dealing damage to the undead, so I would totally be picking that. A bit of sneak is good just for the bow damage perk, but otherwise I would ignore both sneak and alchemy, getting some back-up melee skills and Enchanting instead. Silver weapons are fantastic because their bonus damage against undead doesn't count as an enchantment, meaning you can put other effects on them, such as fire damage :D

-- Vampire Lord: I like designing characters around specific things, like vampirism and lycanthropy. I have a Khajiit vampire assassin (with huge, highly visible fangs), but for a vampire lord I would make a Breton and go Conjuration (for Necromancy and the new summoning spells), Destruction (assuming it pumps up Vampiric Drain), Restoration (for the new undead-healing spells and wards), all the cool new dragon shouts, and of course all the Vampire Lord perks!! Unlike my assassin, this guy would not be subtle ;)

Also, there are a heap of new things for Werewolves so I would be keen to pull out my werewolf character for that.

Of course, none of this matters until they release an expansion pack collection on disc--assuming they will.
