Sleep Deprivation And The Ability To Write Thoughtfully

Writing without more errors or lack of form over the last week has been more difficult as I have had about a 50- 75% reduction in sleep.

I've found myself repeating words. Using run on sentences and losing focus. Spacing of paragraphs and the cut and paste function are helping me organize my thoughts, but it seems a very rough mess on paper.

I've seen some the comments about TBI and reading and concur that I have trouble reading text that is not separated when exhausted. The lines seem to flow together. The simpler and bigger the fonts/layout the better when I'm out of it. I love this forum because it is not too busy with graphics and the layout is easy on my eyes. There are just enough cute images to balance the heartbreaking stories so my cup doesn't overflow.

I hope I do not sound more confusing as my mental sharpness fades and I miss proofreading my threads. I'm hoping for some more deep REM sleep to get me right.

Sleep deprivation seriously degrades everyone's writing. I'm a college professor. I get the evidence twice a year. Sometimes more.

When you get back to sleeping regularly, the writing will come back.

BTW, what is wrong with babbling? It CAN be pretty education and revealing...;)

Wishing you both a peaceful and restorative night's (or month of nights) sleep...
