I need some advice or opinions on an issue I've been having..

Recently I've been having a lot of night terrors (at least I think that's what it is). I'll go to sleep, then wake up a couple of hours later in a panic, thinking I'm locked inside a room with no way out. A part of me is aware while it's happening but I'm very confused and disoriented and it's as though my body and emotions have a mind of it's own.

I start screaming and yelling for help and stuff, and I also start running around the room. I start pounding on the walls and trashing my whole room, almost ripping my curtains apart and everything. I always end up finding the light switch after a while, which usually kind of wakes me up and my bedroom is always trashed.

Most of the time I don't remember the event until the next day, when my mom brings it up.

I don't know what to do about this, because it's been happening pretty frequently.

I suffer from night terrors. I find sleeping with a fan helps some, because I suppose my mind concentrates on the white noise when I am asleep. Also, avoiding sugary foods, caffeine, and not watching television or using a computer right before bedtime can help. Unfortunately, I often need doses of caffeine to help with my headaches, so it often leads to more insomnia and sometimes bad dreams.
