Social Worker Suggested In-patient Treatment. I Am Freaking The Frag Out

In the UK? Where? Who? How was it funded?
Manor Hall Centre for Trauma, Scotland. Funding depends on your local NHS. It's trauma specific and up to date on it's treatment methods. Pretty pioneering really. The therapeutic staff work as advocates for survivors in and educators of the justice system and publish studies to progress the understanding of dissociative disorders.

@Mallaky although this therapist hasn't got your confidence and probably rightly so, the right in patient therapy can progress your journey significantly to a more stable and resolved place. But like others have said, it must be trauma specialist. Look up the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation and see if they can advise you.

Just a info: A social worker is not a therapist. In germany, they are just like generell guidance guides, for people with problems. I have to go to her to get my welfare. She just assesses my situation, tries to be helpfull, and sees if I do anything to get out of welfare. :)

I have made many appointments with various therapist, all specialized in trauma. Also made one appointment to check out an out patient clinic. Super mega frightened of it all, but that is to okay I guess. I feel like my excecution is rapidly approaching lol. Going to start soon. The bulk of it is in July. I just hate the waiting so much...

Take it easy with all this. It's great you've engaged in finding a qualified person/s to help, but at it's best recovery is a controlled journey, your body acts as your own inhibitor when things get too much. A good therapist will respect this and get you to respect it also.

@Springer80
I cant take too much time. If I am to slow, the bureaucracy will cut off my welfare. :dead: I already feel that everything is way, way too much for me, but there is really very little I can do about that, but trying to get through these weeks with some dignity. :blackeye: After a professional explains the welfare that I need it, I hope I get some peace and quiet. :sleep:
And maybe you misunderstood? I am seeing those therapists to see who will be a good fit for me. Those appointments are all for getting-to-know visits. I hope one of them will be the right therapist for me. :cautious:
