Thank you @Still Standing :) Hugs to you too lol I'm going to do some self caring tonight, try to visit one of my favorite patients tomorrow whose cancer has returned - was going to do it today but obviously not in that place. Ironic we were in same hospital at same time ;) Some of these grounding things seem so silly... One that I know that will work is getting out and doing more hiking... but being in Ohio our weather isn't too conducive to that even though it's supposed to be springtime. Whenever I try to soothe or work on the mindfulness my brain is just all over the place with thoughts, memories, etc... work in progress but my therapist made a lot of sense in that I've spent 30 years in these states without knowing what it was, without the tools, and so it's going to take time to learn them. Learn how to relax. I've had PTSD since I was 10. It feels comforting knowing it's not my fault. I am not alone.
