My H has been undergoing tests and has been diagnosed with Narcolepsy and Sleep Apnea. The Narcolepsy is more the issue. He got a C Pap, but so far, it doesn't do enough to ofset the N.

He has always had daytime sleepiness issues, and has had to drink a lot of caffeine in the AM right away to try to wake up.

Receiving a diagnosis like this is similar to getting one like PTSD, a life-long thing to deal with, maybe on medication for the rest of his life or always waiting for a new drug or new cure.

I just want to see him smile, and this gives me more to worry about. He has been pretty down and is having to process it all. But he also hopes there could be some help and at least it explains why he has such a high IQ but tests so poorly and has always struggled with school/grades but does well with things while keeping active.

Now, I am the supporter also. Not that relationships are that simple, but it does reveal that we both have our struggles.

How do you support your supporter? So far, I've been taking the kids more so he can get projects done that he wants to do, and it makes him feel better to keep active and have more freedom. But I am starting my second job, and I am pretty run down all the time myself.

With this diagnosis, we are facing our stuff and hoping for the best outcomes, Muse
