I was so luck as to be headhunted into a different company, and am now serving my notice period.
So far, so good.
However, I am worried about how PTSD will affect me.
The last five months have been rough. Over the last five months I have:
- cared for a dying grandfather
- buried my grandfather
- got pregnant
- lost the baby
- had a terrorist attack in my hometown at the same time as it was at terrorist attack six years ago that triggered my PTSD
- starting to lose my hair, developing bald patches on my head
- most probably lost a friendship
After all of this, I am exhausted. I have no therapist.
And now - new job.
They don't know about the ptsd. I don't know if they would have hired me if they knew. My current job doesn't know either.
Being head hunted felt good, it gave me a bit of a confidence boost in a time when everything else was crap. And it is a stable job, while my current one isn't. The commute is longer, so I have started to learn to drive.
Any advice on how to manage this?
