Still Waiting For My Christmas Present

The military really has to make a decision and stick with it, after a nice 10 hour drive, here I sit waiting for my son to get his leave prior to deployment back to Afghanistan later this month. This is one of those times where you have to let go of the control you so desire to hold onto as there is nothing you can do when it comes to the Army (although I have threatened to go talk to his superiors a couple times :hilarious:)

Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow afternoon :cry:

Yes, he got here a couple hours ago...here are my beauties and I am so happy, I can't see straight. It breaks my heart to hear the words mommy from his mouth. He says, "mommy, can you help me fold my laundry". Then he lays with me for 30 minutes. I was stroking his hair while he talked about how he misses his sister and how she keeps him sane in his insane world. Just a perfect night. I only get him for 6 days, but any time I can get before he deploys is the best!!! Thank you for asking!
